It was a slow day out back, and my bird visitors were few.

There has been a return of the redwing blackbirds,  which seems early this year.

The goldfinches have become more regular than the house finches anymore.

The downy keeps working at this little bit of suet.

Till the starlings come along and take over.

And, of course,  the house sparrows.   They hang out in our brush pile,  and are the first and last visitors every day.

I also had juncos,  chickadees, mourning doves, house finches,  and a lone pine siskin.

I’ll hope for a better count tomorrow.

You have the same birds that I have except all the 100’s of Pine Siskins. How in the world can I count them all when they only stay in one spot for a few seconds, fly all around the house, and then come back to the feeders. They’re driving me batty !
I’ve had so many Blue Jays too disrupting the whole gang. They just chase everybody else out. As soon as I put out any peanut butter, they pig out and in only a matter of minutes it’s gone!
On to tomorrow…

If you did a birdfeeder count mine would have to add bobcat and hen! LOL.
As for birds, I am seeing many of the same here accept the cardinals although my sister, 16 miles south of us has one lone female at her feeder daily.
We do have lots and lots of evening grosbeaks as well.
