It was a quiet day at home.   Time for cleaning, cooking,  baking,  reading.   With the skies dark and damp,  I was happy to stay indoors and be busy.  Birds counted for Feederwatch, new flannel sheets for the bed,  lentil soup cooking in the crockpot,  homemade foccacia bread in the oven, pumpkin cookies made,  frosted, and in the freezer for the holidays.

I finished my library book,  listened to my iTunes and NPR through the day.

After a hectic week,  I was quite content.

It sounds like you had a wonderful day. I like days like that too. Your lental soup looks delicious, and I love Foccacia bread. I too have a recipe for pumpkin cookies, and I really should make some. Thanks for the idea.
A nasty night. Power loss for a couple hours, high winds, and only 1/2″ of snow, BUT more on the way for today “they” say. We got out our kerosene lamps and candles, ( I love lighting them) and got the generator running to keep the wood stove from over heating.
