A Special Visitor

A busy day, and very productive. I feel that I accomplished many things that had been neglected for too long. George had to head back to work, beginning his summer run this morning, leaving the house at 6 a.m. I got up with him, and started on my many projects, and had to force myself to stop and take a rest after lunch.

An exciting part of my day was spotting a female rose-breasted grosbeak early this morning, and soon after, the male arrived at the feeder. It is so rarely that one comes, and the male lingered long enough for a few good pictures.

Aren’t those Grosbeaks beautiful. I noticed on my feeder yesterday there was a youngster, but I couldn’t get any pictures.
More rain today.

The rose breasted grosbeaks are so beautiful. We have them here occasionally but more often than not we get the evening grosbeaks.
I know how hard it is to take a lunch break when you’ve gotten up to send the husband off to work and gotten started on your own projects. I usually remember lunch on those days after two PM!
Have a good day. Jan

Great shots, Jan. It looks as though he was talking to you while you were snapping away. I so enjoy the photos of rose-breasted grosbeaks since I probably won’t see one here in California.
