It was a busy day. Work from 8 to 2:30, then I was off to Watkins Glen for my eye doctor appointment. It has been just over a year since my cataract surgery, so I was curious to find out the state of my eyes. Specifically I was wondering if there was any sign of a problem in the other eye. There wasn’t. Both eyes are healthy, and in good shape. I don’t need new glasses as far as the prescription goes, but since they are fully covered by insurance, I ordered another pair. Morgan will be pleased to know that the lenses are not round this time.

I made stops at two stores on the way. Since George was off on another lacrosse trip this afternoon, I didn’t have any reason to rush home. I spent my time going up and down the aisles, and filling my cart with the good buys to add to my makeshift pantry. The cupboard is getting full.

It was such a pretty night when I arrived home. After putting the groceries away, I went out to check things around the yard. The lilac has come into bloom this past week, and I made a point to inhale the fragrance before I snapped the picture.

The rhubarb will soon be ready to pick.

The tulips have been in bloom for awhile now, so I decided I’d better get a picture of them before they’re gone. I’ve made note that I want to plant more bulbs in the fall.
